Fantastic. Very glad to hear this. When I eventually get around to canceling cards, I track the specific name of the card as well as the cancellation date. I find it very helpful to have when seemingly new CC products appear to help distinguish between old and newer offerings.

Not sure if I'll hold on to the United Explorer card for more than a year though. Since the Chase Sapphire seems to have the same benefits as United Explorer with the flexibility of 1:1 point transfers to United, Southwest, and some hotel chains like Hyatt. Also believe Ultimate Rewards points can be transferred to a spouse. Someone what like SPG, but evidently they expire after a few months once transferred if not used.

Anyone know if United points from the Explorer card can be transferred fee-free to a spouse?
