Nothing as soul destroying as UK-AU and immediate return, but a few years back I took the 0830 UA LHR-ORD and returned on the same day on BA. Both ways in Y and felt so ill for days afterwards.

Often now accompany my wife/daughter back to Spain and make a 14-16 hour turnaround (so at least I get a sleep!)
