EZE is in the middle of nowhere. There's a tiny town (Ezeiza) near the airport where you could sit in a plaza, have a drink/snack, and perhaps watch some kids play soccer, but that's about it.
Also, UA most definitely uses rent-a-crew in EZE. And the ticket counter will not open until three hours before departure - so if your parents get to the airport before that, they'll just have to wait in line and wait for the staff to arrive.
