I will be traveling to DC this coming mid-July for business. My meetings are located at the Federal Center SW stop on the Metro, and I need to be there before 7 am.

Due to the early nature of my meetings, I would like to stay along the Orange/Blue lines closest to the Federal Center SW stop (literally next to the station or 5 minute walk maximum) - worried that I might be late because coming from the West Coast (jet lag/time change).

However, the Residence Inn at Arlington, VA and in DC Federal Center SW are full, and the Holiday Inn near that station is well over $200 based on my search (if not full). Both those hotels are well over $200 per night.

Since these relatively mediocre hotels cost almost as much a Ritz/Four Seasons/Sofitel, I am thinking of using my miles because some hotels like the Sofitel are almost next to the Orange/Blue metro stop.

Does anybody that is familiar with DC hotels and DC, have a good recommendation for my situation?
