Hotel life since the DSK incident

Hi everyone!

Have you noticed any change in your experience with hotels since the DSK hotel-maid saga? This includes how you deal with Housekeeping staff or how they deal with you especially if you are a maile guest who is occupying a room alone.

This is because I see the DSK saga as becoming the hotel equivalent of the sexual-harrassement cases of the late 80s and early 90s which have changed workplace life. It is as in whether a male worker can be in an office or conference room alone with a female worker / client with the door closed yet locked from the inside at all for example.

In the hotel example, are male guests more cautious about inviting femaile Housekeeping staff in to their rooms such as to receive goods they need throug the stay or female staff members hesitant to run errands to rooms that are only occupied by male guests? Similarly do they keep their door open if a female staff member is inside their room?

With regards,
