While I really don't care for Marriotts (confirmed by my HORRIBLE one night stay at the Marriott Boston Copley Place last week), their standard for new properties or renovations to have the lamp with two outlets built into the base on each night stand. That's four outlets. Bravo Marriott: my two phones, iPad and laptop can all be serviced and used!
Still doesn't make me choose a Marriott over a Westin or Hyatt although those Courtyards are sometimes the only game in a small town.
