I just google abbreviations, especially the airport or airline ones.

I use that one, as I normally on a pc and doing other things as well. Sometimes I access using other devices though.

However, flyertalk does help

So I just add a or something and pretend I know what they are talking about. A bit like how I manage to get around Europe if the other people dont talk English..
