Here is the Canada-UK Bilateral Agreement from Transport Canada. It does not appear to have been updated since the takeover of Canadian.

I do know that BMI had received rights from the UK Civil Aviation authorities rights to serve cities such as Calgary, Ottawa, St. Johns etc. I will try to find the link and add it here after.
