Hi Maple Leaf,

Bermuda II essentially restricts the number of US/UK airlines flying to the US from LHR to 4 ( 2 American ( AA & UA) and 2 British ( VS & BA).
All other US/UK airlines have to fly from LGW/MAN ( BMI from MAN, DL,US from LGW)
Negotiations for an "open skies" deal have been going on for over a decade it feels like.
I think it also limits the destinations that can be flown from LHR to the US to around 20.
BMI are not flying the new routes which will still be on AC metal.

Regards
TBS
