Would it be better to use BA Excecutive card (I've just joined) for this trip. I only have 15k miles on my Aadvantage now. Is BA Executive card 'better value' than American Advantage?

You should do a few dummy bookings on the BAEC site to see what the taxes and surcharges are like before you make your decision.
Also, BAEC isn't known for being particularly good value if you are doing transatlantic flights in economy.
Much better value if you book Business or First.
