I have now booked return business class ticket to Sydney from LHR, via Helsinki and Singapore). This is a discounted ticket (I). I have used my AAdvantage card.

I have Amex Gold Rewards card (60k points at the mo). I'm collecting points towards upgrade / award flights at some point, possibly to Tokyo or HK

The question I have:

Would it be better to use BA Excecutive card (I've just joined) for this trip. I only have 15k miles on my Aadvantage now. Is BA Executive card 'better value' than American Advantage?

Many thanks
You should do a few dummy bookings on the BAEC site to see what the taxes and surcharges are like before you make your decision.

Also, BAEC isn't known for being particularly good value if you are doing transatlantic flights in economy.

Much better value if you book Business or First.
