Any chance they will extend the jet fuel pipeline to the Indian Ocean aswel ?
The pipelines are not owned by EK. EK like other airlines recieve the jet fuel at the airport from the oil companies. Oil companies own the pipelines. Infact there are two of them, one is owned by SHELL, BP and EMARAT. The other is owned by ENOC which it uses in addition to CALTEX.
A trans-ocean jet fuel pipeline to the indian ocean is not feasable. It is only feasable for trans-country i.e. between terminals at seaport to the airport which accounts for tens of kilometers and saves truck bridging to the airport which reduces transport cost and reduces traffic.
