Yep, I've got the PNRs for each of the airlines and when I plug it into the EK website I get all my flights listed, including the two EK sectors. Unfortunately, however, in the "e-Ticket Status" column, it says "None". Even though I booked coming on six weeks ago (and have confirmed itineraries and credit card charged etc.) I'm told that this is not necessarily an issue as the itinerary does not commence for another six months and EK isn't the first carrier. This may be the reason why I cannot find any fare rules on the EK site.

That said, you have corrected me on an error I have made. I assumed (not entirely sure why) that my fare was booked in F. However, Amadeus shows the booking class as A which is indeed a booking class on both the 777 and A380.

Unfortunately, two separate calls to EK in Australia asking for assistance with the rules have been fruitless as they appear to not want to have anything to do with it until the itinerary has commenced. I explained to them that I know they can't make changes at this point because it's booked through an agent and all I want is some information on the rules about changing flights, but they say 'call your agent, ask them for the rules'. As I'm in Australia and the agent is in the US, the call can be quite expensive. I might have to try Skype, however. (The other reason for not wanting to call EK unless I'm sure I can make the changes I want is because the fare is part of the ex-RGN alleged 'currency issue' fares and I don't want the agent unnecessarily perusing my booking.)

Thanks again, though. Now I know that I'm in A and A is available on the other flights I'm confident I should be able to make the change without issue. If a ticketing guru could confirm, or if someone could help me find the fare rules (if at all possible) without calling the agent, I'd still be grateful.
I change A class tickets all the time, without penalty (and even have them waitlist me if A isnt available)

I wouldn't worry about the RGN fare issue - most agents couldn't care less. All they want to do is resolve your issue and move onto the next call.

If they start asking questions, just tell them that you are:

1. Naked or
2. One of your children has just set fire to his/her brother/sister

And simply hang up and call again

Cheers
