I had to take several DL flights in the 6 month period following their merger. The inflight service, attitude from FAs, airport experience and dysfunctional processes quite honestly made what UA is currently experiencing a joy.
They appear to have worked hard in the years following that. My recent experience with them has been passable, but far from good. I'm certainly not jumping ship; that would be far too premature (by a couple of years) IMO, particularly when I look at how quickly some things have already improved at UA since March (2 months ago).
