Hi everyone,
I recently took JL 7 BOS-NRT on the 787 and it was phenomenal in every regard. I'll have a full report later but am going to report briefly on the lounge access in Boston. Upon check-in I was given a xeroxed lounge invitation coupon from the BA uniform staff at the JL counter (sandwiched between BA and IB). I was informed not to lose the ticket as it was required for entry.
JL uses the BA Terraces lounge at Logan. No other lounges on the second level are open at this time. The first class section is open and available for Oneworld Emeralds to access although the dining room service is not offered. Assorted package snacks, tea sandwiches and a full line of alcohol, soft drinks, espresso was available. In the Club World section a buffet was set up with potato leek soup, assorted rolls, hard boiled eggs, sushi (w/ condiments) and fresh fruit salad. This was not set up in the F section but myself and the other people in F (only about five altogether) walked over to Club World section.
Overall they seem to be having things down at BOS. There appeared to be two JAL uniformed employees who made announcements and provided assistance to passengers in Japanese. I will note that there was a fairly long line for Economy check-in when I arrived at 11:15am although I was promptly greeted and served in the Business/Executive Seasons class line.
Again, I'll have a more detailed report in the comings weeks but it was a great flight and look forward to many more on JAL from Boston.
