I live with a snorer - and like most men refuse to believe that they do that. On one occasion I was so exasperated that I considered going into the spare room. Then I thought - why should I?
So I pushed him out of bed and he landed on the floor.
"Must have been dreaming" I said.
The funny thing is that he has woken me with his snoring but usually I sleep through it.
On board - sorry it is an imperfect world and I am sure indeed certain that this happens everywhere. What I do if we really have a roof tile rattler is to very gently alter the position of the seat - actually some people should not lie flat. Once that has changed it usually stops. I've never woken anyone - I would not unless I thought that there was a serious health risk.
Other that I disagree with Henkybaby - the noise cancelling is of great help. Moreover I think that I far worse sleep disturber are people - often heavy footed crew clomping up and down the cabin. However - if you are tired really tired - you'll sleep.
