No, they are just people and you shouldn't be surprised to meet some on a plane. You can't expect your flight to be full of the nicest/most civilized people only. Or, to quote your words, you should charter a plane. .
Good. we agree that who wake others up are not nice people. and good to see that my remark about charter struck a chord that you are using my own words to reply.

what you are trying to avoid addressing is that snoring is an involuntary action and nudging is a voluntary action. hence the snorer has no choice in the matter, whereas the nudger has. So, nudging is an act of voluntary will, whereas snoring is not. So, if the nudger has to have absolute silence, which is not available on a commercial plane anyway due engine noise, charter a plane (and I used the charter first)!

For you, it's not : are you claiming to be uncivilized? I suppose not: you just have other view of what constitutes a civil and courteous behaviour. There is no problem with that, but you shouldn't expect others to comply with your set of rules. One can only expect, in a public space, adherence to the letter of the law..
You are the one that is talking about keeping snorers off the plane. What is this: some kind of snoring apartheid? What next, some people who have disabilities and cannot walk down the isle fast enough will be deplaned as you want to get out of the plane faster and they do not adhere to your right of 'fast deplnaing'? Blind people excluded? You are living in a fantasy world where everyone is perfect and are to conform to your standards of perfection. Like I said, charter a plane. Better still, avoid public transportation alltogether.

i do not have a set of rules: I believe in inclusive travel where all travel together. You are talking exclusive parameters where some are kept out: e.g. your point about snorers should not expect to meet nice people. That is a pretty unique rule you got there.

You sure are buddy. It is your position that 'snorers snould not expect to meet nice people'. That is an invitation to get physical and escalate it into violence.

For the record, I do not have any arguments with the para above you wrote. Let them sort out their issues on a case by case basis. If they wanna do some kicking practice on each other, let them and later sort it out in jail. If they wanna be nice, let them! Why is it that you have to intervene?

Unlike you I do not put snorers on the wrong and write volumes about how they should not expect civility from others. That kind of sermon is not too practical these days.
