As for your second, if you're *G NH may upgrade you automatically if the Y cabin is full; otherwise, they do not sell discounted upgrades to PY. You can, of course, upgrade by paying the difference between your booked fare class and PY (i.e. refaring your ticket). It will not be cheap, though.
