Flight delayed 3 times, what are my options?

Hello,

My flight was originally scheduled to depart at 7:40am. After boarding, they announced there was a double engine failure, and they did not believe that repair would be a quick enough option. We de-planed, scanned our boarding passes, and they re-booked us on an 11:00am flight.

After boarding the 11:00am flight, they backed away from the gate, and proceeded across the tarmac toward the runway, before announcing the co-pilots communication had stopped working. We returned to the gate to repair the audio controller. During this time, I could hear flight attendants discussing whether or not they should swap the food, since we were significantly delayed, and would risk the food being spoiled, or not fit to serve us. They decided to take their chances and not swap the food, hoping that decision would allow the plane to take off before the VIP.

Turns out, after the audio controller was repaired, the VIP was ready, and they halted the airport. We sat on the tarmac with engines off until the VIP had taken off. After the standard delay, we proceeded to the runway to depart ourselves. Once airborne, they let us know their decision to not swap the food, meant they could not serve the meal in-flight, as it had expired. When we landed, we received two $6 meal vouchers.

This delay caused us to miss our connection flight, and be placed on the next available connection. All-in-all, we arrived at our final about 5 hours behind schedule, missing the majority of the wedding we were supposed to attend.

This was a Delta flight. Of course, it was one of the only flights I had problems with Delta (I've flown on 55 segments in the last 11 months), and it happens to be the only flight I've booked using Award Travel with my bonus miles.

What are my options for some form of a credit/voucher?

Thanks!
T.J.
