For good reason. DL was relentless at destroying any newcomers that tried to enter CVG. In one case (when I was living there) a newcomer (think it was Frontier, but may have been Vanguard or AirTran) came to town & DL dropped fares below the competitor and put bigger aircraft on the routes until the interlopers left. Fares then went up above where they were before.
