I won't lie, I have filed a DOT complaint for myself and my girlfriend over issues UA customer service refused to respond to or deal with. I mean before it would be unheard of for me to even consider that, but now, 3+ weeks and the response has nothing to do with my problem, it's the only answer, besides taking the 2nd 100K of my business to AA.
I loved flying UA and how they treated 1Ks and now I feel like the CO agents have no idea what a 1K is, no one really appreciates are business (though that is changing at least in terms of the apologies and saying I wish we could do something to make this right for you, but we can't).
I'm not saying everyone on FT should file a DOT complaint when .... goes wrong, but imagine if they did? 3 weeks just is not ok to get a response back that is a garbled apology about something that may have nothing to do with what was written in.
