It's not targeted. I did not receive any emails or other notices about the offer and I just booked it. Apparently all you need is the Marriott credit card.

I already had a 6 night stay on points booked for later this year when this offer popped up. I just called and booked a 7 night stay. I figure that the $100 resort credit plus the point savings plus the extra night in Maui make it easily worth the $300 in change fees I'll pay to the airline. Plus my car rental is for a week so even that won't cost any extra ^
I guess we can just walk out some time after dinner on day 7, not spend the night and just don't check out right?
Sounds like it should work. Just toss the bed up a bit and have them email you your receipt. Technically if you stay past check out time you have "stayed" an additional day right?
One concern I have is that nowhere in any of the confirmation emails or on line info does it mention the $100 Resort Credit. I asked on the phone and the agent confirmed it, but it sounds like an opportunity for a disappointing result.
