Even if you are physically present to check into both hotels, you will have to figure out a way to convince one of them to remove your HH#; otherwise a flag will be raised when HH's computers try to credit you for two rooms on the same night. You might get one of the hotel to replace your # with your friend's #, but I wouldn't count on that working on a Diamond guarantee...
