Stayed here with the desert links golf package ($280 for one person) which comes with unlimited golf at 5 courses (Stadium $50 more) and a $25 resort credit. As a Hilton diamond member, I was upgraded to a starlight casita. I found both the room and the grounds to be very nice and the staff very helpful.
My understanding is with the golf package you can only reserve one tee time (per night of stay) and only after 12 noon on the day of check-in. They do allow early check-in to play golf even if the room wasn't ready (I was fortunate and had my room by 8:00am and out golfing by 8:45). I played as a single so it was easier to fit in with openings. I played a total of 4 rounds over 2 days under one paid night. Four rounds of top level golf, $25 room credit, no resort charge, and a very decent room for $280. What a deal!
I'd suggest reserving a tee time on the busier day or the course you'd most like to play and then being flexible with the other times.
The desert links package included the resort fee and my other night was an award where no resort fee was charged.
Diamond benefits per an email I received: "Hi Mr. Kelvin. The $25 credit (desert links package) is per night so if you stay 3 nights you will have a total of a $75 credit. We unfortunately do not offer Hilton Honors complimentary breakfast we do offer an upgrade if available and a free appetizer at one of our restaurants there will be a card given to you at check in. Also, free newspaper delivery (your choice), complimentary movie in the room and 2 water bottles."
I'm finding this resort to be especially helpful. I had booked a desert links package for $147/nt plus tax (great deal for unlimited golf, waiver of resort fee, and $25/nt credit) in June and then decided to add three more nights. The Hilton.com was showing variable rates for those nights (between $157 to $237) but when I called directly to the hotel they gave me the $147/nt for the total stay. I also was able to book one tee time in advance for each day I was staying. Given the diamond benefits above, this is a very good deal IMO.
