Would the concierge help in this case?

My Grandfather is heading out to YVR (from YYZ) on an award ticket. He's going via YYC since there are no award seat on the direct flights.

As a SE, can I request the concierge in YYC to meet him upon arrival and get him to the right gate?

Better yet, I wonder whether I could get the YYZ concierge to put him on the direct flight but how to find him is another matter. (He won't understand the standby thing that we all do so I won't bother telling him to attempt it)

He's 80+ years old and doesn't travel much.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
