On the outbound you'd be able to check in as many bags as your *G status allows. On the return you'd be constrained by EI rules

OP: on the outbound you can check up to the full *G for no charge. On the return, you will at the least be allowed to check as much as is allowed for a non-frequent flyer on United. Theoretically, you should be allowed your full *G privileges but this may take a lot of fighting to accomplish.
