They should give you points if Topguest's site was right, but the general consensus over the past few pages is that the info on Topguest's site is outdated, and Hampton Inn no longer earns points. You still get the emails saying you're getting points, but they never show up. This has been confirmed from Topguest:

Last follow-up on the Hampton/TopGuest question: It is as we had suspected. I received word from TopGuest that the Hampton/TopGuest partnership did, in fact, expire on 3/26. Only Doubletree checkins are translating to HHonors points at this time. The emails are still coming to me when I do Hampton checkins, but there will be no accompanying HHonors points.
Everyone's experience matches up on this one; I and many others have checked into many Hampton Inns since 3/26 without getting any points, but checking in at a Doubletree still gives you points.
