Agreed. Same in YOW. Regardless if I use the GE or Nexus machine, still have to talk to Immigration officials.
If it was across the board, same EVERYWHERE, then I'd accept that this is the protocol. But because in YYZ there is no direct talks with Immigration it seems to me that anyone attempting to enter the US with nefarious intentions would simply transit in YYZ.
Methinks its simply a make work project.
