The Poconos (Lehigh Valley) is a great place to go whitewater rafting, and within an easy drive for you, but no matter where you do this sport you have to consider water levels. Given the lame snowfall we had this year, and the fact that it is already fairly late in the season, I'm guessing the rafting opportunities will not be particularly good this year, but you should give the companies a call to find out.

I have been rafting with these guys on the Lehigh several times and they do a good job: Whitewater Challengers. They also run trips in upstate NY, and unbeknownst to me until two minutes ago, they offer ziplining too.
