Sorry to bring up such an old thread, but I wanted to clarify this issue before booking a flight on AA and JL codeshare. The website is confusing. I'm looking to book KOA-LAX-NRT-BKK. KOA-LAX-NRT on AA metal. NRT-BKK on JL metal, AA flight #. Will I earn 100% miles (redeemable and elite qualifying) on a N class ticket on the NRT-BKK because it is AA flight #? Or, only 50%

The reason the website is confusing is: On earning AA miles for CX codeshares AA.com states that AA flight numbers earn according to the AA chart. No such wording is noted on the JAL section. Thanks for the clarification.
