I saw this too, and I thought it was kinda short notice to quickly change the route to seasonal. It returns late March/early April. Flight has operated for three years on a year round basis and I think they increased the frequencies this year as well. Neither FCO or CDG are operating from CLT during the xmas holiday, which I was think is weird.
It seems that CLT-CDG is now a 767 route as well, instead of a A332.
Could the aircraft from CDG be used for the upcoming GRU flight?
I think the 332 that was flying CLT-CDG is now flying the second daily CLT-FRA flight...although it is a good question to ask where that 332 will end up this winter, after CLT-CDG ends and the second daily CLT-FRA flight ends.
And moving this to a seasonal route isn't entirely surprising to me either. My wife and I jumped on some off-peak Envoy awards in early February this year for CLT-CDG, and there were about 60 people on the plane on the way over, and about 70 on the way back...just really light loads.
