I am worried about my connecting on time from TBIT to T5. I am projected to arrive to the US at 2.45 pm on June 17. My next flight is through Delta at T5 at 4.55 pm to DTW. With the horror of a missed connection under my belt when I flew with American Airlines at LAX to Miami (this was in 2006 though), I wonder if the 2 hours and 10 minutes is sufficient for me to make it to the next one. I am traveling with a toddler and one check in luggage. I have an option of taking a red eye instead however with a toddler in tow, I am not keen on it.

The real issue is how long it will take you to get through Customs and Immigration. I have no idea with the lines are like then, or where you are coming from, but 2 hours can be very tight if not impossible to do Customs and Immigration and then transit terminals (mainly due to Customs and Immigration).
Are they on the same itinerary or separate?
