You must be joking that IHG is not making money in China! IHG does not have much capital investments in China and they typically charge 5% based on hotel total revenue as management fee plus, I mean plus a percentage on revenue generated by IHG system. They are making good money in China. A Crowne Plaza in China could cost the hotel owner almost a small fortune (for example, a 400 rooms Crowne Plaza with a ADR at USD$80 would have to pay IHG a minimum USD$600,000 per year) to be affiliate to IHG.
