I am hoping to go to London in July and was told that the SOHO area is the gay area and also close convenient to the tube and access to tourist things like big ben, buckingham, etc (I do want to do the touristy stuff and will be there for only a few days).

I have a bunch of Hilton points, so would rather stay at a Hilton brand so I can use them. ANy recomendations on which one is near that area, if any? If not any other non-hilton hotel recomendations.
