I've never done the VIP service but coming off a Lufthansa flight can be horrible at immigration. I was very jealous of the people who booked VIP. Can't imagine it's more than a few hundred USD - I can't expense that for work but would probably do it if there on holiday.
And on departure, the VIP lane (shared with C pax and crews) is the only lane that doesn't have a nudoscope.
