I've been asked to take an unexpected business trip from Vancouver to Manila, and wondered if any AC FF's had some advice about the best way to get there. It looks like connections are via Hong Kong (connecting via Cathay), Tokyo (connecting via JAL) or Seoul (connecting via Asiana Airlines). I'm looking for the best alternative that allows for upgrades, as well as lounge/shower access at the connecting airport in Asia, and of course minimal flying. I could go with Philippine Airlines direct, but I value the air miles and upgrade potential!
