To answer the thread title, I think the obvious answer is no. Sure some deals might be overexposed and die early deaths but that's no real skin off my back and I don't think flyertalk depends on exploitation of deals to survive.

I don't really enjoy some of the spoonfeeding that has gone on in blogs but I'll take the good and the bad from the blogs as just another part of the game. I guess that's what this is to me, just an enjoyable game to be played and I'm not worried that bloggers will ruin my enjoyment of this game.
