Because the not unreasonable perception amongst the above posters is you can't add new LH flights anymore. However, it isn't necessarily true that you can't change an existing booking. There was nothing in the original notification about LH flights being unavailable after 19 April that said you couldn't change an existing booking. As far as I know (I stand to be corrected) it was only when the notification about leaving *A on 31st May was issued that the first statement about no changes to *A bookings was made. Thus in theory, you might be able to change an existing LH flight until 31st May, or for that matter since LH and *A are being treated differently, even indefinitely (though I doubt that). However, it wouldn't make sense if they let you add an extra LH flight to an itinerary, especially to one that didn't have an LH flight or which changed non-LH to LH. I suspect ICC is confused about this one but going LH to non-LH could well be OK until the end of the month. Be interesting to see what experiences others have had.
Personally I'm most concerned about what happens in the case of an enforced flight re-timing, whether its LH or other *A. I wish DC would clarify that one.
