I booked a stay at Marriott Wardman Park in DC about 3-4 weeks ago. I was able to get my stay at $99 a night which is a great rate considering it is normally 200-300 a night, and the CSR just told me the current rate is $469 (which is insane of course). I did not check the local promotions before I booked as i am new to Marriott, and still learning the program/chain/website. Now I see that there is a promotion for this hotel that gets me some perks at the Zoo, a stuffed toy for my kid, and free self parking (this alone would net me about 150 savings).

I do not see a way to add a code to my existing reservation online. I called and was told that since I did a prepaid special rate that is not changeable they could not add it. Does this seem right? I am not changing the reservation. I still want to stay, I just want to take advantage of the local promotion in combination with my stay. Do any of you have any tips to get in on the promotion that I have not tried yet?
