I haven't flown either but if I were you, I'd opt for the longer ORD-HKG flight to really experience all CX FC has to offer and still have time to sleep!

I definitely like that idea but I just wasn't certain of the differences between a 747 and a 777 in first class on Cathay and whether it would be worth biting the bullet (flying AA first class to LAX from BNA) to get on a 747 instead if I have that option.
