I'll figure out a train to Brussels Wednesday night and probably stay near the airport to catch the ride out on Thursday.

Not sure if you're aware, but for your return you will actually have to pass through the U.S. immigration in Montreal before you board your EWR flight, so make sure your layover is long enough.
