I find this pretty lousy that Gold members flying in Y cannot use the lounge.

I had to use the Skyteam lounge which, while perfectly decent, is at the far other end of the terminal. Plus I got an invitation that said "first class" but there is no separate facilities for "first class" and "business class" in that lounge.

I realize that this is the same treatment that Golds flying Y get in DOH, but, besides that, can anyone think of another example where an airline red-lines its top-level elite flyers like this? Just another example of QR's industry-worst recognition for loyal customers.
