Questions About Camry Rental at DFW
Former road warrior here - been off the road about 18 months now so a bit rusty . . . Plus, previous employer had a contract with National so more familiar with their rules of the road.
I have a reservation for a one week one-way rental DFW to RNO coming up end of June. There was a great rate on a Camry where you are reserving a specific car model - not just class. It was available with NeverLost as well for only $35/wk (a AAA special rate I think).
I'm Gold (just plain Gold through my Amex Plat card) and have a couple of questions if anyone knows:
1. When using the "Reserve This Exact Model" option, are there any chances of upgrades? Has anyone had any experience with this exact model option in terms of not just upgrade, but whether that model was actually what was provided? Especially at DFW? Site lists Camry as a FSAR which it defines in my reservation as Full Size Sports Car. That a Camry is a sports car is an entirely different discussion . . . Upgrade is always nice but given the miles I'll be putting on it, just don't want a guzzler. Of course if they have a convertible that needs to be returned to Nevada, I may be convinced to help them out.
2. Does anyone know if Sat Radio is available in the Camry? It wasn't listed as an option in the reservation so I assume they're either all equipped or none are equipped.
3. Any ride reports on Camrys out of DFW?
Picking up on a Friday afternoon so expect that the lot should be pretty full.
Thanks!
