Quite a few fellow F passengers change right away, but they went to sleep right away too.
I personally prefer to do it before dinner in case I spill food on my clothes. However, I wait until after take-off in case of an emergency or a return to the gate for whatever reasons.
I use the bog as many do. If you're changing in the bog while still on the ground, remember to close the window blind!
Above all, there is nothing to worry about, just relax and enjoy.
