What about the following thought:

You don't need the status prvileges if you're already flying business. So simply buy the cheapest fare with an airline with a superior product. It will take longer until you can redeem miles for a free flight, but until then you save enough money to just buy the ticket with cash. Especially if you take into consideration the up to $1000 in "fees and taxes" (=fuel surcharge) M&M charges.

The question then just remains which programs to credit to.
