If anyone complains about SNN, its likely to be American nationals or green card holders whose queues are shorter at JFK.

I like the Shannon Shuffle. The airport feels every empty during the time of BA flights. However, that is the big plus that is the main reason the shuffle is so fast. The airport is clean and functional so don't mind if it feels dated.

The only downside of the Shannon Shuffle is if you board the plane hungry since you do not get to the main course until after take off from SNN.

I achieved two all time record on my flight to JFK last Thursday (CW on a 777).

They allowed the CW and F pax to exit at the same time. All the pax in front of me headed for the US queue and to my absolute shock, there was NO immigration queue in front me. I was literally the first pax through in the non-US line and could walk straight up to the immigration desk ^

The plane took a very southerly routing (like the ones they normally take on the return leg) straight across the Atlantic which I think is shorter than the normal route over Iceland/Greenland. Despite take off at LHR over 40 mins late, we arriving into JFK 55 minutes early. That matches the usual 35-60 mins early arrival time on the LCY-JFK flight when there is a quick Shannon shuffle. Smooth flight so it was not like there was extra strong winds.
