This was my situation as described as well. I forgot the exact code and did not want to post erroneous information. I too was initially listed as a RV2T (2 for plat, t because I was a thru pax from PPT) but a sharp AC agent noticed and explained the error, confirmed that I would only travel in J and changed my standby status from RV2T to RF2T. The RF designation applies to First or Business. IIRC, there is another field that indicates the class of service, F or J. One thing that sucked about being listed initially as an RV2T was that my bags did not get priority tags and were the last to come out on the belt. Of course on this particular flight, all the orange priority tagged bags did come out first.
