Help: American Express may not honor bonus
I signed up for the American Express Gold Card with an offer of 25,000 membership award points after spending $500 within 3 months. I called in to confirm the offer upon receiving the card. I spent the $500, paid the bill, and no points have posted. I sent them a message asking where the miles are. I then received a message back saying I signed up for the offer too late (in April) and it expired in January. They said they will send it to an investigation team and I would hear from them within 10 business days.
Any suggestions on how to resolve this? I tried called Amex and the guy told me a special department in Florida handles these things.
