Keeping my own thread alive, I find that 2 years have passed and the same flight on UA metal is still $50pp cheaper when booked as a codeshare via US (yes this is an annual excursion )

I realize I forgot to ask what happens in terms of 1K benefits. Will I still get E+ for my family plus free checked luggage? If not that would eat up the cost savings right there.
