If you are talking about using Avios (even partially) to book, you will not earn any Avios or TPs. You'll need to think of something else, or forget the Silver, I'm afraid.
I thought if you paid with cash and upgraded with Avios you would earn miles and TP's, but only at the level you paid ££ for.
