Okay FTers, my wife and I have been wondering about this for a while: What is the allure of In-N-Out Brger?

I've lived in SoCal most of my life (with stints in other states and overseas), while my wife is a midwest transplant. People I run into always ask about In-N-Out. Even had a bunch of co-workers here from Texas that HAD to go to In-N-Out. I can make a better burger on the grill at home.

I can think of several burger places that I would rather go to (and had cravings for when living elsewhere). So, are there others here that feel the same way? Or, have my tastebuds been destroyed by eating too many MREs and airline food?
